General Culture:
Grow in fertile, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Needs protection from wind. Fertilize regularly. Remove spent flower spikes after bloom to encourage a second bloom for late summer or early fall. Appreciates some afternoon shade.
Noteworthy Characteristics:
This cultivar is a compact, free-branching plant which grows up to 24" tall and features loose racemes of cerulean blue flowers. More heat tolerant than most delphiniums.
Slugs and snails can be particularly destructive problems. A regular insecticide and fungicide treatment regimen may be appropriate.
Provides color and contrast to the perennial border. Effective in small groups or as a massed planting.
